3. How do I activate my Fio Connect SIM card?
After purchasing a SIM card, you must complete the RICA process by sending “RICA” via WhatsApp to 063 901 0001. You’ll need your ID or Passport and proof of address (not older than 3 months). Once RICA is complete, you can insert your new Fio Connect SIM.
4. What is the process for activating an eSIM?
First, check if your phone is eSIM compatible on the Fio Connect website. Then, RICA your cell number by WhatsApping “063 901 0001”. After successful RICA, you will receive a QR code via email to scan and install the eSIM.
5. Can I keep my existing number?
Yes, Fio Connect offers a seamless porting process. After you’ve completed RICA, you can reply “PORT” on WhatsApp. You will need to provide your SIM serial number and the number you wish to port.
6. How long does the porting process take?
Porting can take up to 4 hours. You should keep your original SIM card in your phone until you receive a confirmation SMS or your current SIM stops working.
